DOHA • A fund-raising campaign to help the financially hard-pressed Hamas-led government in the Palestinian Authority is being organized at some 80 mosques across the country during Friday prayers today.

The fund collection is part of an ongoing drive launched by the three local charitable organizations, namely, Qatar Charity, Sheikh Eid Charity and the Qatar Red Crescent.

The drive was waged during the meeting held here recently presided over by the prominent Muslim cleric Dr Yusuf Al Qaradawi, to support the PA regime which is under siege from the west.
